Colour Your Yarn – Lyn Gemmell
Level:  Introduction

This exciting class will give you the tools to start dyeing your very own yarn.  Create one of a kind colour combinations. Let your artist shine through. J

Toe-Up Socks Using the Magic Loop Method – Janet Rice-Bredin & Karen Abourbih
Level:  Intermediate+ (not appropriate for beginners)
Date: Saturday – February 14, 2015

Come learn this exciting way of sock knitting from the toe all the way up to the ribbing.  We will take you through the magical cast on, gusset, heel turn, heel and all the way to the top.  This workshop references, and we highly recommend you purchase, Socks From The Toe Up by: Wendy D. Rigid Heddle Rag Rug Weaving Seminar – Janet Rice-Bredin
Level: Beginner/Intermediate
Date: Saturday – February 21, 2015

Learn the specific techniques relating to weaving rag rugs and bags using your rigid heddle loom. Topics covered are fabric preparation, warp types, colour & design, & warping tips. There will also be a rag rug weaving techniques demonstration. J

Knitting Top-Down Sweaters with a Yoke Neckline – Deb Gemmell

Using Cabin Fever’s Need A Yoke Book – come and learn how to create your own look for a beautiful top down sweater.  We will be working on a summer top – to get us excited about the warmer weather. J

Beginner Weaving Workshop
(2 part workshop)- Sharon Urquhart
Level:  Beginner
Date:  Saturday – March 7 & 14 2015
Time: 10:00 am – 4:00 pm

 This workshop is designed for the beginner weaver.  A loom will be provided.  The first Saturday you will learn how to set up your warp and will be weaving a simple scarf. You will be able to take the loom home for the week.  The Second Saturday you will learn how to remove your scarf from the loom and finishing techniquesJ

Do you already know how to use a drop spindle, but want to learn more advanced techniques? Do you spin yarn on your wheel but are interested in learning how to use a drop spindle? In this class, you will learn how to use the amazing Turkish spindle, how to wind the perfect center-pull ball, how to "ply-on-the-fly" using the Navajo-plying method, and much more. Basic hand spinning (spindle or wheel) knowledge required. J

Happy New Year and Thank You

THANK YOU - THANK YOU to everyone that participated in helping us with filling our crib for the Infant Food Bank.
Thanks to all of you we raised $1,335.00 and a full to the brim crib.
As you know we also had a draw going on and the winner of the $50 GC from Sweet Yarns Inc. and a Manicure The Ultimate You - the WINNER IS Janine S. - Thank you and Congratulations.
